I sing because…
I can.  I don't fix cars or build houses or have babies because I can't.

I would describe my personal style as…
Not a slave to labels, but elegant, minimalist, classy – except when gaudy and outlandish – and hopefully under the umbrella of “not too expensive.”

Shane Raman's Official Bio

Shane Raman is a baritone who has been part of the local choral music scene since he started studying voice at Douglas College. In 2004 Shane graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance. Under highly regarded teachers such as Eric Hannan and Bruce Pullan, Shane has performed with Phoenix Chamber Choir, Vancouver Opera, UBC Opera, Vancouver Peace Choir and Vancouver Chamber Choir. Currently Shane sings with Vancouver Cantata Singers and musica intima. Performing in Broadway musicals and singing pop music is another singing outlet. Shane is also a songwriter/composer/arranger of pop, broadway and choral music, and has had his pieces performed by Vancouver Cantata Singers and musica intima, and recorded by UBC's University Singers and Vancouver Cantata Singers.
