A favorite of international contemporary composers and instrumentalists, musica intima has performed with Rena Sharon, Steven Isserlis, Uri Caine, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, Pacific Baroque Orchestra, and has performed works of Poulenc, Bruckner, Britten, Arvo Pärt, Sir James MacMillan, Stephen Chatman, and José Evangelista as well as music based on folk traditions of Inuit, Native, Finnish, Estonian, French, Scottish, and Canadian.
Classical, Broadway and folk favorites also feature in musica intima's performances,
with pieces such as “Love For Sale”, “My Funny Valentine”, and their showstopping
version of “Loch Lomond”. Their Christmas concerts are nothing short of magical.
musica intima is now booking in British Columbia, Alberta,
and the Pacific Northwest for 2006-2008 and for all of Canada, United States,
and Europe beginning in 2007. They play ideally to houses up to 1,000 seats
and to audiences who have discerning musical appetites. musica intima also
presents master classes and workshops in universities with chamber music,
choral, and composition studies.
