Gershwin, arr.: Price: Let’s call the whole thing off

musica intima has, throughout our history, had a critical mass of ‘jazzers’ in the ensemble - which lead to the decision to do a concert featuring music of George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hammerstein, and more, entitled ‘Songbooks’. The majority of arrangements came from within the ensemble, including Lane Price’s arrangement here, demonstrating his trademark blend of choral writing and jazz harmonies.
