Winter holidays are here! It's time to Ding Dong!
musica intima celebrates the 10th anniversary of Ding Dong with a special collaboration with Triology jazz ensemble to bring you a rare choral jazz presentation of Winter Morning Walks. We haven't forgotten to include your favourites from our Ding Dong collection as well!
Created by the GRAMMY Award-winning Maria Schneider, Winter Morning Walks is based on a collection of poems by the Pulitzer Prize laureate Ted Kooser. Arranged by BC's own Réjean Marois, the unforgettable blend of words, music, voices and feelings explore themes of resilience, renewal, and the appreciation for the simple gifts of everyday life.
Kooser, a recovering cancer patient, began sending postcard poems to his friend Jim Harrison. The result is a timeless collection of inspirational observations, survival, friendship, beauty, and joy.
Visionary arranger and music director, Réjean Marois is a BC jazz legend who has been redefining the boundaries of vocal performance with dynamic drive and precision.
