Oesterle: No Need
Recorded March 2014 at the Telus Studio Theatre, Chan Centre for the Performing Arts
Dwelling simultaneously in the absurd and the intellectual, Michael Oesterle’s No Need has a libretto formed from the names of the top 100 restaurants in the world. The piece explores the concept of molecular gastronomy on a musical scale, and was co-commissioned with the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts as part of the Radius Series, curated by Wendy Atkinson.
